The Croatian Canoe Federation (Hrvatski kajakaški savez) is the governing body of rowing in Croatia. It organizes the Croatian representation at international competitions and the Croatian National Championships.
The Croatian Canoe Federation was founded on August 26, 1939 in Zagreb, and a member of the International Canoe Federation (ICF) since October 31, 1992 and the European Canoe Association (ECA) since December 11, 1993. Primarily works on the planning and organizing of the development and promotion of the sport. Takes care of kayaking in Croatia and represents Croatia in international relations in all kayaking disciplines. Coordinates the work of Croatian clubs and national teams engaged in the following sports disciplines: kayak and canoe disciplines on flatwater and wild-water disciplines, marathons, rafting, and other disciplines recognized by the ICF.
For the efficient organization of all types of competitions and the ecological preservation of water and other surfaces, CCF promotes and encourages the professional implementation of sports and recreational as well as educational and technical programs. For this purpose, it conducts courses for new generations in the self-construction and repair of boats, oars, and equipment.
Croatian Canoe Federation is one of the most trophy-winning sport associations in Croatia with more than 130 medals won at World and European Championships and Cups s in sprint, slalom, wild-water and marathon disciplines.
